A GP (General Practitioner) appointment is a visit with a doctor to talk about your health. You can see a GP if you are feeling unwell, have a new health problem, need help managing an ongoing condition, need a prescription, or would like medical advice.
A standard GP appointment is 15 minutes long. To make sure there is enough time to help you, please talk about 1 or 2 health concerns only during your appointment.
If you have more than 2 concerns, or think you may need extra time, please book a longer appointment. Additional fees may apply.
You can also book a GP appointment for a health check-up, even if you are feeling well. A check-up helps you stay healthy and can find health problems early. During a check-up, your doctor may check things like your blood pressure, weight, medicines, vaccinations, and general health.

Vaccinations are a safe and effective way to protect yourself from many serious diseases. They work by helping your body's immune system learn how to fight infections before you are exposed to them.
We provide all routine childhood and adult vaccinations, including those on the New Zealand National Immunisation Schedule. We also offer flu vaccinations, COVID-19 vaccinations, shingles vaccines, travel vaccinations, and other recommended vaccines.
Vaccinations are available for all ages, from babies and children through to adults and older people. If you're not sure which vaccinations you need, our team can check your immunisation history and help you stay up to date.

We provide care and support for women's health at every stage of life.
You can book a women's health appointment for contraception, pregnancy care, menopause, period concerns, breast concerns, cervical screening, or any other health issue that is affecting you.
Cervical screening
Cervical screening is recommended approximately every 3 years from the age of 25. Cervical screening looks for unusual changes in the cervix before they can become a problem. Most changes are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV).
We now offer HPV self-swabbing, where you can collect your own sample in a private room at the clinic. Many women find this a simple and comfortable option.
Menopause
Menopause is a natural part of ageing that usually happens between the ages of 45 and 55, although it can happen earlier or later for some women. It happens when your body starts producing less of the hormones that control your menstrual cycle. Menopause can cause both physical and emotional symptoms, including hot flushes, night sweats, trouble sleeping, low energy, mood changes, anxiety, poor concentration, and changes to your periods.
No menopause symptoms should affect your quality of life. If your symptoms are making daily life more difficult, please book an appointment. Our team can provide advice, support, and discuss treatment options that may help.
We also offer mental wellbeing support, as changes during menopause can affect how you feel emotionally as well as physically. You don't need to manage these changes on your own. Our team is here to help.

Men's health appointments are for health concerns that are specific to men. This includes prostate checks, sexual health concerns, general health checks, heart health, and general health advice.
Prostate
The prostate is a small gland that sits below the bladder. As men get older, the prostate can become enlarged and may cause symptoms such as needing to pass urine more often, getting up during the night to use the toilet, a weak urine flow, or difficulty emptying the bladder. If you notice any changes to your urinary habits or have concerns about your prostate, we recommend booking an appointment to discuss this with your GP.
Mental wellbeing
Mental health is just as important as physical health. Stress, anxiety, low mood, depression, sleep problems, grief, work pressures, and major life changes can all affect how you feel. Support is available, and you do not have to manage these challenges on your own.
No health or wellbeing concern should affect your quality of life. If your symptoms are making everyday life more difficult, please book an appointment. Our team is here to listen, support you, and help you find the best treatment options for your needs.

We provide healthcare for babies, children, and teenagers from birth through to adolescence.
As children grow, they need different types of healthcare at different ages. This may include routine health checks, childhood vaccinations, support with growth and development, and care when they are unwell.
You can book an appointment if your child is sick, has a new health concern, is due for a vaccination, needs a check-up, or if you would like advice about their health or development.
Children can sometimes have difficulties with sleep, behaviour, learning, feeding, growth, or emotional wellbeing. If you have any concerns about your child's health or development, it is always okay to ask for help.
Regular healthcare can help identify any concerns early and make sure your child is getting the support they need as they grow.
Our team is here to support both you and your child through every stage of childhood.
Some people need to take regular medication to help manage their health and stay well.
If you are taking long-term medication, you may be able to request a repeat prescription without seeing your doctor every time. However, from time to time you will need to book an appointment with your GP before your prescription can be renewed.
These review appointments help make sure your medication is still the right treatment for you, is working well, and remains safe for you to take. Your doctor may also check your blood pressure, arrange blood tests, or discuss any side effects or changes to your health.
Repeat prescriptions are normally ready for collection the next day. If you have an urgent need for a "same day" prescription, additional charges apply.
If you need a repeat prescription, please contact our team. We will let you know whether a prescription can be issued or if an appointment is needed first.
Our wellbeing team is here to support you with the non-medical parts of your health and wellbeing. These services are free for enrolled patients of OneCare Health.
They can help you make healthy lifestyle changes, such as quitting smoking, improving your sleep, managing stress, and living well with a long-term health condition.
Support is also available for relationship concerns, parenting challenges, identity and cultural support, and other issues that may be affecting your wellbeing.
Our wellbeing staff can help you understand your diagnosis, manage your medications, navigate the healthcare system, and connect you with the right services and support in your community.
Sometimes knowing where to start can feel overwhelming. Our wellbeing team is here to listen, provide practical support, and help you access the care and resources that are right for you.
Please note that we do not currently offer ADHD diagnosis.
We can help with many minor injuries, such as cuts, grazes, sprains, strains, minor burns, and injuries from slips, trips, falls, or sports.
We often have same-day appointments available for minor injuries. Please call us before coming in so we can make sure we have an appointment available and can advise you on the best place to be seen.
If your injury happened because of an accident, it may be covered by ACC. Our team can help with ACC paperwork and any follow-up care you may need.
If you're not sure whether your injury should be seen at our clinic, an urgent care clinic, or the hospital, give us a call and we'll help point you in the right direction.
